Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Gift Planning, the Assistant Director of Gift Planning will work with the university's alumni, friends, and their advisors in order to educate, solicit, and complete deferred gifts and complex outright gifts on behalf of all areas of the university. The Assistant Director, working closely with college and university program development officers and senior administration, will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects and securing major outright and deferred gifts of $100,000+ from private sources in support of endowment, capital projects, and current operations. S/he will fulfill these duties under the direction of and in close cooperation with the university's central development office.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience

Experience in sales, customer service, fundraising, or other relevant experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in higher education or for a non-profit organization.

Experience with or exposure to estate planning, tax, law, accounting, wealth management, or financial services.
