Job Description

The Financial Compliance and Integrity team manages the Personal Activity Reports process and provides oversight of the financial transactions posted to sponsored projects. As a member of the Financial Compliance Team in the Office of Sponsored Programs under the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, the Compliance Specialist reviews financial transactions posted to sponsored research projects, to help ensure that the transactions comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and with our sponsors' terms and conditions. By performing these reviews, the Financial Compliance Team helps the university reduce the risks that would result from noncompliance with governmental, university, and sponsor requirements.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience and/or college coursework with an emphasis on accounting, finance, or government/business regulations and administration.
Strong proficiency in using Excel worksheets to manipulate, analyze, summarize, and report data.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with federal and non-federal grants and contracts.
Knowledge of administrative and accounting systems, practices and procedures.
