Job Description
The Program Coordinator provides support to multiple teams of faculty in their multi-year pursuit of large externally funded center and program grants. The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing project coordination support for large, complex and diverse project portfolios, and ensuring timely execution of planning efforts with regard to schedules and project objectives. Project execution includes tracking, facilitating, and adjustment of schedules, tasks, and resources to ensure attainment of project goals and resolution of issues that impede project success.
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business-related field, or related relevant discipline or equivalent experience
-Demonstrated project coordination and management skills
-Strong computer skills using programs and platforms such as Microsoft Office, project management tools, meeting scheduling tools, and willingness to gain skills with website content management systems
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer/client service skills
-Strong ability to multitask and prioritize actions
Preferred Qualifications
-Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups, industries, or disciplines
-Prior event planning experience
-Experience with purchasing or travel systems
-Experience in sponsored research proposal development
