The Director / Football Coaching Video is responsible for overseeing the video operations & technology infrastructure for Virginia Tech's football program. This position plays a crucial role in capturing game footage, practices & other relevant events, as well as providing analytical tools for coaches & players to enhance their performance. In addition, this position is responsible for the technological infrastructure necessary for a successful college football program.
The position reports to the Chief of Staff, Director of Football Operations and will work directly with the Assistant Director / Football Operations - Internal & Football Research. This role is responsible for adhering to all department & university policies & procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws & interpretations of the Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC] & National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA].

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field with relevant experience or a master's degree.
Demonstrated video experience at a collegiate or professional level.
Knowledge of football terminology & strategy.
Experience operating digital editing systems, video cameras & recording equipment.
Experience with sports video analysis software, such as Catapult, PFF, DVSport &/or Hudl.
Ability to critically assess objectives; design & present solutions to meet those objectives.
Excellent supervisory, communication, interpersonal & organizational skills necessary.
Commitment to diversity.
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within demanding timeframes.
Attention to detail & the ability to work under pressure during game days.
Ability to use discretion & maintain all confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role within a college football program.
Familiarity with NCAA rules & regulations related to video operations.
Certification in video analysis software & equipment.
