We are looking for a Member Experience Representative to serve members in our Salem Retail Center. We work in a collaborative work environment where we are motivated to redefine what the "member experience" looks like at all levels of the organization. This role will support external member experience by providing in-person financial knowledge and services to members of Member One FCU.

Job Summary: The Member Experience Representative provides a complete, in-person member service experience. The position uses sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, accuracy, and expediency in assisting members while adhering to established security safeguards, identification measures, and all Credit Union policies and procedures.

The Member Experience Representative role provides career advancement opportunities within the retail center. You can look forward to promotions, pay increases, and technical responsibilities as you progress through training requirements and skill development. Ultimately, the Member Experience Representative will perform all retail services including transactions, opening and maintaining share accounts, processing and servicing loans including consumer loans and home equities, and processing and servicing business share accounts.

  • Process transactions and utilize proper cash handling procedures to maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Process new account opening and applications for member and business share accounts.
  • Process Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and special account transactions and applications.
  • Process consumer and home equity loans applications. Review consumer credit reports and gather information and/or documentation necessary for underwriter analysis.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external members. Assist members in a friendly, professional manner, demonstrate adaptability and a positive attitude when faced with challenging situations.
  • Educate current and prospective members about products and services.
  • Address member concerns and take appropriate action to resolve.
  • Support and assist other retail center locations. Work location may change as business and service needs dictates.


Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm, Saturday 8:30am-1:00pm

Lynchburg Retail Centers (Timberlake Road, Lakeside Crossing, and Forest)
