We're actively seeking a talented Program Manager to join our PMO in the Consumer Markets Division (CMD). This role can be on-site (in Newport Beach, CA or Lynchburg, VA), or on a hybrid work schedule (depending on location).

As a member of the PMO team, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by applying methodology-agnostic project management skills to multiple initiatives for the Consumer Markets division.


How you will make an impact:

  • A successful project manager in the PMO will own, plan, and manage the delivery of multiple, high-value, high-complexity initiatives from concept and strategy through execution and launch. Focus on delivering desired business outcome and business value.

  • Build and develop strong relationships and communication paths with senior leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Manage & communicate project resource needs, risks, issues, and upstream/downstream dependencies to ensure value-based delivery & results.

  • Support and apply the discipline of Project and Program Management and related best practices throughout the life of the projects and programs. Well versed in Agile, traditional and hybrid practices.

  • Assist in Cost Benefit Analysis preparation, resource planning, sequencing, initiative planning and delivery.


The experience you will bring:

  • 8+ years of technology project leadership experience with a focus on cross-department process improvements and related tools implementation. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in managing a wide variety of technology projects utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt project management styles to multiple types of programs and approaches (agile, scrum, waterfall, hybrid, etc.)

  • Strong leadership and communication at all levels of the organization and operating in a heavily matrixed structure.

  • Proven capabilities in applying organizational change management methods and techniques.

  • Display an expert understanding of the technology development and delivery processes.

  • Experienced in developing CBAs and managing end-to-end project financials.

  • Experienced in defining and supporting change management efforts, with the ability to identify and analyze organizational impacts for internal stakeholders affected by new initiatives.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$144,630.00 - $176,770.00
