Our team in Space and Defense is looking for a Material Runner to join them. You will report to the Materials Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA

As a Material Runner, you will:

• Deliver and clock all chemicals and materials in labeled containers to production departments.
• Collect used chemicals and hazardous waste that can be distilled and distill per MLS.
• Assist in loading and unloading incoming and outgoing material.
• Daily pick-up and delivery of items between North and Central facilities.
• Assist with kitting or pulling components for production.
• Assist with locating aged production orders when needed.
• Assist with cycle/audit counting when needed.
• Must be able to cut leads to approved lead schedule.
• Deliver boxes of paper to appropriate value stream.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To be considered for the Material Runner role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to communicate effectively

Salary Range:

• Starting at $15.50
