Job Description

Georgia-Pacific is seeking to hire a Manager of Financial Analysis to join our Building Products Financial Planning and Analysis team. This role creates value for the organization by providing actionable manufacturing analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering with our operations and business teams to create value and close gaps.

In this role, you will report directly to a Director within the Financial Planning and Analysis organization and will support the Building Products Division and manufacturing plants in Clarendon, SC and Brookneal, VA.

Location Remote work with travel to SC and VA. If you are a candidate from the larger regional area and can travel to sites as needed - we want to hear from you!

What We Do We focus on supporting our manufacturing teams with reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and identifying cost savings opportunities. We serve as the primary financial business partners for our sites and our division. We are supported by our fiduciary partners as well as other Centers of Excellence for Inventory, Internal Financial Controls, and Capital.

How We Work Everyone is expected to be an owner and entrepreneur of the locations and businesses they support. Direction to priorities and coaching will be provided to build capability, but the individual will not be micromanaged.

How You Succeed Provide relevant reporting and analysis that supports our manufacturing operations. You will analyze and interpret financial results, develop metrics, and partner with operations to drive profitable results. Design, validate and implement operational value bets and tracking. Collaborate and learn from other members of the Analytics team. Some travel to the facilities will be required to provide support as needed.

Georgia-Pacific Building Products business is North America's No. 1 producer of wood panels - namely plywood and oriented strand board - and is a leading producer of gypsum products and lumber. Georgia-Pacific is also a major supplier to large do-it-yourself warehouse retailers.

What You Will Do

  • Operations bet tracking and analysis to support decision-making and drive operational improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing KPIs ranging from productivity to cost (including direct & indirect) to help identify insights and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing leaders and your team of peers to develop and track other key performance indicators.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as needed to support business decisions.
  • Advance the Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture by applying and reinforcing the company's Values.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Progressive career experience in financial analysis, accounting, cost accounting, operations finance, or related role(s)
  • Demonstrated understanding of key accounting and financial concepts, economic principles, variance analysis, marginal analysis, and key business drivers
  • Contribution/Collaboration mindset: You seek to build working relationships and partner with others to bridge gaps and solve problems
  • Transformation focused: You are flexible and able to prioritize your work in a dynamic environment, embrace and lead change, and seek to improve processes
  • Systems and Tools savvy: You can manage large volumes of data from multiple systems and use advanced tools to perform analysis and develop a point of view
  • Confident Communicator: You have experience presenting financial concepts to various audiences and you engage effectively with your stakeholders.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree or higherwith an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (i.e. financial modeling, forecasting, graphs, charts, pivots, macros)
  • Experience with dashboarding or data analysis/visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik)
