Inside the Role

As a Salesforce Product Owner within the Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS) Sales and Marketing - Product Development team, you play an essential role in ensuring that our Salesforce platform supports the optimization and efficiency of our business. You will be responsible for creating the vision, strategic roadmap and developing the implementation plans that translate business needs into functional requirements that successfully deliver a Salesforce platform that supports the achievement of our business goals.

This is a DTFS Band 92 position.

What You Drive at DTFS:

  • Identify and prioritize necessary product requirements and features to generate the highest value to our organizational stakeholders and customers.
  • Lead key initiatives to create and improve Salesforce product functions and capabilities. This includes defining requirements and features of design and functionality, establishment of user stories, prioritization of the backlog for delivery along with the respective business value/ needs and means of measurement.
  • Create, manage, and execute the communication of product vision, strategic roadmap, content development and release timing and to the business stakeholders and C-level execs.
  • Coordination and collaboration with other product owners, Salesforce partners, IT counterparts and teams across the DTFS and Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) business units to create the product vision, align Salesforce strategies, drive product development, establish acceptance criteria, and enable other Daimler business units to scale/adopt solutions.
  • Research industry best practices and technology solutions in partnership with the IT architects to act as the resident SME for Salesforce and incorporate the information to define ongoing improvements and the long-term product roadmap.
  • Lead, define, and participate in authoring and execution of user acceptance testing as required for product releases to ensure the highest possible quality for the organization. Work closely with IT lead to ensure product quality. Categorize bugs by organization severity and make decisions on release impact.
  • Work closely with dealer users and field sales staff to provide training and support surrounding major release activity.

Knowledge You Should Bring:

  • Completed High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing self-service B2C, B2E, B2D platforms
  • Experience leading the digital customer journey strategy for B2C and B2D platforms
  • Previous Salesforce Experience in a System Admin role
  • Experience managing project teams using Agile methodology with cross-functional teams and development tracks
  • Creative mindset, curiosity and drive to succeed with an obsession for internal customer satisfaction

Exceptional Candidates Might Have:

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer or Information Science, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics or Related
  • Agile SAFe Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • Salesforce Admin Certification
