POSITION SUMMARY:

The P21 (Epicor Prophet 21 ERP System) Developer is responsible for technical design, development, testing, implementation and enhancement of customizations, integrations, and other enhancements to internally developed software and off the shelf applications in collaboration with end users, IT team members and other stakeholders. In addition, the P21 Systems Developer will provide ongoing systems support once solutions are built and deployed. This role provides the hands-on technical configuration and systems development to implement solutions that meet business needs.

The P21 Systems Developer collaborates with users and IT team members to design, customize, implement, and maintain solutions within the Epicor Prophet 21 platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Software Development
  • Use functional specifications to develop technical designs, code, modify, test, debug, maintain and implement development objects including applications, interfaces, reports, portals, and business rules.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and end users to design solutions that best meet business needs. Communicate effectively to validate work delivered and ensure high quality output.
  • Ensure a systems development methodology is followed and key components such as design, testing, code reviews and technical documentation are completed for each project.
  • Analyze, review, and alter existing solutions to increase efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Maintain information confidentiality and security. Protect and prevent unauthorized attempts to obtain information.
  • Monitor and report progress and status of assigned projects following established department guidelines.
• Technical Support
  • Provide end user support and troubleshooting of issues related to the P21 ERP system, ensuring timely and effective resolution, and identifying proactive measures to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide escalated support and troubleshooting assistance.
• Utilize technical knowledge of the P21 ERP application to support system upgrades and patches as well as implementation of new features, system customizations and modules.
• Participate as a team member and technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on larger projects that include or integrate with P21.
• Adhere to established project management methodology, SDLC, support and service management policies and procedures.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• 6+ years of hands-on technical experience with 3+ years of software development experience working with enterprise applications in a business capacity.
• Proficient technical expertise in ERP development (Epicor Prophet P21 strongly preferred), object-oriented programming (.NET/C# preferred) and SSRS.
• Strong knowledge of relational database design concepts and MS SQL Server technologies.
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
• Highly motivated, self-directed and results driven with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to analyze issues and to work effectively with cross functional groups to craft solutions.
• Curiosity and passion for delivering high quality and innovative technical solutions.
